Dream land.
Today Gabe is wearing blue sunglasses, a black t-shirt, a grey fleece, a teal jacket, khaki pants, and brown shoes.
Has anyone else noticed that Gabe’s outdoor slippers have been missing from photos for weeks? I guess maybe it’s been too cold for wearing slippers outside – after all, they are backless and not so ideal for jumping in puddles and weathering ridiculous wind storms.
But it could also be related to the new pair of slippers Gabe got in the mail a few weeks ago.
I think we might be living in a “new baby” scenario. Now that the new slippers are here, the old ones seem to be getting a little less attention. Suddenly they look a little more scuffed up and matted down than they did before. The new slippers don’t have patchy lining and floppy soles…
And even though the new slippers have been designated as “INDOOR SLIPPERS ONLY”, it’s not like the old slippers can’t see how much happier he is padding around the house in his fuzzy, floaty new slippers.
I can only assume the old outdoor slippers are working on a plan to put stamps all over the new slippers and try to mail them back to wherever they came from.
Meanwhile, I’ve been sleeping very deeply, not enough, and with lots of dreams. So it could be that I’m just imagining this whole slipper thing.

The old slippers had it made…they got to go outside and see the world! New slippers have to stay home until they are old enough to go outside. Haha You can write a short story about these slippers
